What’s with the cost?

You’ll notice most of the items on this menu do not have a monetary cost, but cost doesn’t always involve dollars. Sometimes it is a time commitment, other times it is sharing your skills with others. Whatever the cost, we believe you’ll find it worth paying for!

Appetizers

Just want to wet your appetite or try something new? Any of our Main Dishes are available in an appetizer portion. You’re welcome to attend once or twice just to check it out.

Appetizers

Nursery
Infants through age 3 are welcome to be cared for in the nursery during the worship gathering.

Children’s Ministry
Children ages 3– grade 2 are invited to attend Children’s Ministry about half way through the worship gathering. There they will hear a Bible story, do a craft, pray, and eat a snack.

Bible Bistro
Students grade 3-8 meet together with an adult mentor after the message so they can talk about what they’ve heard and apply it to their lives. Pick up a worksheet at the information booth before the service!

Youth Group
All high school students are invited to hang out with Ben and Heather Koerssen on Sunday nights. They discuss biblical topics, do service projects, and have fun together!

Food that will fill the spiritual hunger of anyone who tries them! These opportunities are available to anyone, any age (unless specified).

 

God’s Gifts

$7-9pm First Mondays

Tempting for anyone with an artistic or creative pallet. Bring your art/craft supplies to work on while you hear a local artist share about their work.

Finance Class

$7pm Tuesdays

This meal may actually save you money! Learn the principles of creating a budget, investing, and stewardship in this 5 week class.

Theology on Tap

$7:30pm 2nd & 4th Wed.

Take a sip of spiritual truth with Dan Hoard at the Cambridge house.

Rehoboth Mission Trip

$twice/month

Savor time together with a small group as you prepare for a mission trip to Rehoboth, NM in February, 2009. Participants are responsible for transportation costs (approx. $300/adult, less for children/students), lodging and food provided. Fund raising opportunities will be available.

MOPS

1st & 3rd Wed.

A buffet of friendship, parenting skills, and fun for Moms Of PreSchoolers. Childcare available ($2 donation/child).

Faith and Doubt

$2nd Sat. night

Share a meal together, then taste this sweet-and-sour conversation based on a newly-released book, and you’ll see it tastes familiar to all of us.

Movie Discussion

$1st Sun. night

Partake in a movie together once a month, then share in a discussion the first Sunday night.

Young Married Couples

$1st & 3rd Sun. 7pm

Meet for Bible study and dessert, led and mentored by an ‘seasoned’ married couple.

Background of the Bible

$6pm 1st & 3rd Sun.

After watching these Ray VanderLaan videos together, ‘eating’ the Bible will taste so much better. Each gathering begins with pizza and ends with dessert.

Taste and see that the Lord is good as we gather together for singing, prayer, and studying God’s Word.

Worship Team

Whether you sing or play an instrument, savor the opportunity to lead others in worship once or twice a month.

Creative Arts Team

If you know that presentation is half the message, join us to help add visual arts and experiences to our upcoming worship services.

Men’s Activities

Beginning with a kick-off retreat on September 12-13, the men will have opportunities all year to get to know each other and God better.

Women’s Activity

Reserve November 1 for a “Souper Saturday” with a wonderful speaker and more. More activities to follow, including a winter retreat.

Potlucks, etc.

Don’t miss the incredible blend of tastes at our theme-based potlucks after worship, about once a month. Bring your favorite sack lunch to the kick-off potluck on Sept. 7 to trade.

Teach Coit Elementary School students Bible stories, play games, and love them in this after school club.

Coit Dream Team

Where is God working and leading us to serve in the Coit neighborhood? Join us in prayer and help us discern next steps.

Disc Golf League

Meet a whole new group of people who love to play disc golf at Brewer park. Share a message of hope through your actions and words.

Faith@Work

$1st Wed. 7-8am

Come hear a Christian professional talk about how they integrate their faith and work while sharing breakfast with your working peers.

HarvestFest

$one night

A sequel to the summer’s RiverFest, HarvestFest will take place in Canal Street Park on October 12 and will offer music, pumpkin carving, and treats to all who come.

Reading Mentor

$30 min./week

Read with one Coit elementary student throughout the school year, just a half hour each week.
