Love in Action

Today, Pastor Henry talked about what we should do about the Christmas story we have heard. We read from 1 John 3 -

16This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. 17If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? 18Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Pastor Henry talked about how so much of the world goes through the day without food or running water. We have been blessed indeed! But the challenge is how can we use these blessings to bless others. We need to listen to God to find where we can serve Him.

How has the Lord blessed you this year and how can you use these gifts to bless and love others? I have been blessed with so much but what comes to mind is that I have been blessed with a good education. This is a gift I can use to solve problems and offer solutions that bless other people.
